PAEROA SCHOOL FUNDS TO BUY CINEMATROGRAPH PARENTS’ DAY AT HIGH SCHOOL Ways and means for raising money so that a talkie cinematrograph can be purchased for the Paeroa School were considered and approved at Monday night’s meeting of the Paeroa District High School Committee. During the month a committee comprising the chairman, Mr :C. C. Webb, Mrs S. Wheeler, Mr W. Aston, the headmaster, Mr A. E. Day, and 'Mrs iG'leadow, representing the Parents’ Association, met and: discussed methods for raising approximately £7o' which is the balance required before the machine can be secured. As a result of their deliberations the following programme for the next six months was approved on Monday night. 1. Bottle and rag drive. (School children to take bottles to nearest allocated collection depot. Mr A. G. Vince to be requested to collect and purchase bottles from these depots. 2. Garden party to be arranged by the 'Parents’ Association at the residence of Mrs Gleadow.

3. (Parents’ Day at the High School soon after the opening of school after the Christmas recess.
