The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report that at their weekly Morrinsville stock sale on Frida ya full yarding of fat sheep, including a good proportion of fat hoggets, sold under keen competition, at values fully equal to late rates. Store hoggets were also keenly sought, whilst a total clearance was effected for a full entry of breeding ewes; A slightly smaller than usual penning of cattle came forward, with bidding very brisk, and a consequent advance in prices. Competition was also keen for a medium entry of boners, these selling at higher than schedule rates. Empty heifers, which were penned in full numbers, declined a little on late values.* A medium offering of dairy cattle, comprisin ©mostly heifers, came forward. Eerly calvers showing quality were keenly sought after, heifers selling to £l4 10 s > Backward quality heifers met a better demand and inferior cattle were dull of sale. Dairy cows met a steady demand, a general clearance being effected. There was a very large yarding of all classes of pigs.
