UNITS VISIT

DANCE IN COROMANDEL

POPULAR GIRL FUNDS

TERRITORIALS ENTERTAINED

Dances organised ’by the Coromandel Popular Girl’s Committee in aid of Miss Coromandel were held in St. George’s Hall, C'orqmandel, recently to entertain a visiting unit of Territorials. The first, held on Thursday, July 24, proved a very successful function, but owing to very bad weather the second was not so well attended.

Mr Murphy, chairman of the Patriotic Committee, welcomed, the visitors and Lieutenant Day replied on behalf of his men.

Monte Carlo waltzes and novelty dances were held which proved very popular. The music was supplied by Miss C. McNeil. Mrs Anderson and Mr D. Stewart acted as M.C’s.

Everything went with a swing, and the visiting unit of Territorials went away carrying with them happy recollections of the excellent entertainment held in their* honour during their brief stay in this district.
