CONSOLIDATION PROCEEDING
LAND SETTLEMENT SCHEME
When speaking on the estimates for the Native Department in the House of Representatives recently Mr A. S. -Sutherland, M.P. for Hauraki, said that he was glad to hear that the consolidation of Maori land titles was being proceeded with, and that a land settlement scheme for Maoris was -being pushed forward.
Maori service-men were entitled to equal consideration with pakeha service-men in the provision of houses and land on their return from the •war.
