Charged with stealing a gold signet ring valued at £l, the . property of Merle Ecclestone, a territorial, Patrick Sanders' Tawhera, appeared in the Coromandel Court recently before Messrs Geo. Darling and H. S. Denize, J’s.P. Accused pleaded, guilty, and was convicted and ordered 1 to come up for sentence if called upon within 12 months. He was also ordered to make restitution.

Tawhera was also charged with being found in the Coromandel Public Hospital grounds without lawful excuse and was convicted and fined £5.
