MANY E.P.S. VEHICLES

PROBLEM IN CHRISTCHURCH

A proportion of the 1380' vehicles required by the (Christchurch E.P.S. has not been relicensed. The chairman of the organising committee, Mr W. Machin, told the central committee recently that the Government had not yet agreed to a proposal that for E.P.S. work the E.P.S. sticker should be accepted in lieu of 'the registration transfer. That arrangement had been forecast by the Hon. R. Semple in a speech at Rangiora, Mr Machin added.
