BETTER DEMAND FOR PIGS
The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report that at their weekly Morrinsville stock sale on Friday a small yarding of fat sheep sold under steady competition, at firm values. A light entry of store lambs recorded a sharp rise on recent sales. A large yarding of all classes of cattle, including a medium entry of j beef, and a very heavy offering o_ boner and store cows. . Values for all classes remained very firm. A steady demand existed for store cattle, while a full entry, of weaner Jersey and Jersey Cross heifers was keenly sought after at improved rates. Dairy cattle sold'freely. A very large yarding of pigs, wi baconers selling fully up to quotations. Porkers showed a slight rise, whilst stores and weaners also realised better prices.
