POWER BOARD SUPPLIES
ESSENTIAL WORK ONLY
“Advice has been received from the controller to conserve existing stocks of material (especially hardwood poles) for essential work only, as the prospects' of obtaining shipments is, and- in all probability will continue to be, a very meagre one for some time to come,” reported the manager, Mr R. Sprague to Tuesday’s meeting of the Thames Valley Electric Power Board.
“It is proposed to ration stocks for maintenance and replacements firstly to urgent works and continue to ' spread other work over as long a period as possible.”
