WASHING STOLEN
CLOTHES TAKEN FROM LINE DAYLIGHT THEFT REPORTED Another instance of the theft of washing from the drying line has been reported in Paeroa during the weekend.
The people who were away for the day on Sunday left the clothes on the line to dry while they were out, arranging for a neighbour to take them in before dark. However, when the friend went to- collect the clothes the washing had gone. The theft occurred in Rye Lane which is in the same locality from which clothes have been stolen on several occasions recently. Washing was removed from Prospect Terrace and Miller Avenue some time ago.
