PICNIC ON DOMAIN
FUNCTION ON SATURDAY
SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY
The opening function in connection with the sixtieth anniversary of St. - Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Paeroa, was the Sunday School picnic held in the Domain on Saturday afternoon. Always a great treat for the smaller .children, this year’s picnic was thoroughly enjoyed by young and old. A special feature was the birthday cake baked by Mrs R. D. McEwan and [ .iced by Mrs S. I. Mclntyre. A teacher •at the Sunday School for over 27 years, and now the superintendent, Mr J. Mclntyre had the honour of cutting this cake, pieces being handed around to all present, after the usual partaking of buns, cakes, soft drinks and tea.
