WEDDING

WALLACEr—McDONALD The wedding of Agnes Ella, fourth daughter of Mr and Mrs- A. J. McDonald:, and Arthur William Guy, youngest son of Mr and Mrs W. T. Wallace, was solemnised in St. David’s Presbyterian Church, Te Aroha, by the Rev. J. Haslop. The bride, who was the first white child born in the Patetonga-Kaihere district, was formerly a well-known membei' of the Hauraki Plains and Kaihere 'Hockey Clubs.

The bride, who was. given away by her father, wore a gown of magnolia satin with a heart-shaped neckline and a Queen Ann collar of lace, the long tight-fitting sleeves coming to points over the wrists. The sleeves were inlet with lace and her train was cut in a fan shape. She wore an embroidered tulle veil and a coronet of pearls, and she carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums and: maidenhair fern.

The maids, Misses Jessie and Jean McDonald, sisters; of the bride, wore frocks of primrose- triple chiffon over taffetas, with fully flared skirts. The fitting bodices had flowers at the neckline and- they wore short veils and headdresses of toning flowers. Their bouquets were of autumn-tinted flowers and maidenhair fern.

The best man was- Mr Trevor Wallace, Ohinewai, and the groomsman, Mr Bruce Wallace, Waipawa.

At the reception held in the Masonic Hall, the many guests were received by the mothers of the bride and. bridegroom. Mrs McDonald wore a dark elover worsted 1 frock with hat to

tone and she carried a posy of carnations and violets. Mrs Wallace wore a black marocain frock, with hat and veil to match, and she carried a posy of roses and carnations.

When the newly married couple left for a tour of the north the bride was wearing a frock of burgundy afghaliiie' with hat to match and a brown stroller coat. - She was wearing’ shoes to tone. Mr and Mrs Wallace will make their home in Patetonga.
