SOVIET RUSSIA CONDITIONS

(To the Editor.) iSir, —I notice in youi* report of a speech by Mr T. McG'illick dealing with Soviet Russia conditions, words to this effect: “The basis of life in the Soviet to-day was—From each according to his ability, and to each according to his deeds.”

I would like to know if the gentleman referred to has been correctly reported. Should “deeds” be “needs?”—l am, etc., “INTERESTED.”

The word should. be “needs.” “Deeds” was a typographical error. ■ —Editor, Gazette.
