Thomas’ book “Doctors Don’t Believe It.” “That a drowning man rises three times to the surface. “That singeing the hair is beneficial, aiding it to grow more abundantly. “That some individuals have had their hah - turn grey quite suddenly from fear or fright. “That it is more dangerous to prick oneself with a pin than with a needle.
“That there is any truth in the old saying-, ‘Feed a cold and starve a fever.’ “That a person’s hair grows after death. “That pressing the upper lip, or placing a key or piece of ice at the back of the neck, will stop a nose bleed. "That it is more dangerous for an adult to have whooping cough than a child.”
