LOCAL CAMPAIGN OPENS LATE MR JAS. THORN NOT TILL NEXT WEEK NATIONAL CANDIDATE’S ADDRESS TO-MORROW With only 10 days to go to the election, the Paeroa portion of the Thames constituency has still been neglected by both parties, in that neither the National aspirant nor the Labour member has visited this centre, nor have any other speakers prominent in either side, visited the town since the campaign began. The Minister of Finance, Mr W. Nash, has spoken at Ngatea and the Minister of Lands, Mr F. Langstone, at Te Aroha, while Thames has been addressed by political speakers. .However, even at such a late hour, the campaign will open here to-morrow r when the National candidate, Mr W. A. Clark, will speak on behalf of his candidature. He will be followed next week by Mi’ Jas. Thorn, the Labour nominee.
