PRAISE FOR OFFICERS
BOROUGH HOUSING SURVEY . TOWN CLERK & INVESTIGATOR. Praise for both the town clerk, Mr R. S. Nicol, and the investigator, Mr J. H. McCorquodale, in connection Vvith the recent borough housing surwas given at thef meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council on Thursday .evening. The Mayor, Mr Wm. Marshall, when the report submitted by the town clerk was read, congratulated Mr Nicol on the preparation of the -returns. It had meant a lot of work for the clerk, Mr Marshall said, and he had worked long hours. Cr. E. Edwards added that Mr McCorquodale had handled his job most .satisfactorily and had used his discretion very well. Mr McCorquodale had not been refused entrance anywhere, the Mayor remarked. The people should also be . thanked for their co-operation in the jnatter. The report which was received will be published in the building page of the Gazette on Wednesday.
