REGENT THEATRE

“MEN ARE NOT GODS”

DOUBLE FEATURE TO-MORROW

HUMOROUS PIRACY—LAW FIGHT

“Men Are Not Gods,” featuring Miriam Hopkins, will be screened finally at the Regent Theatre to-night. “The Captain’s Kid,” a new comedy romance, screens at the Regent Theatre to-morrow and Thursday, with a talented cast, headed by May Robson, famous for half a century on stage and screen, Sybil Jason, the brilliant little child star, and Guy Kibbee, the jolly, rotund comedian. The picture is said to be replete not only with rollicking humour, but to contain many melodramatic thrills and a glamorous romance. There are two catchy songs written especially for the picture by M. K. Jerome and Jack Scholl, one sung by the seven-year-old star, Sybil Jason,, entitled “I’m the Captain’s Kid,” and the other by Fred Lawrence, “Drifting Along.” Stirring drama revolving around the eternal triangle of a man and two girls forms the story of the photoplay, “Criminal Lawyer,” co-featuring Lee Tracy and Margot Grahame, also at the Regent. Tracy has the role of a brilliant lawyer who becomes a district attorney and is called upon to prosecute a man he had once defended. Margot Grahame and Betty Lawford are the two girls who fence for Tracy’s affections.
