Competition for all classes was steady, with values remaining firm. Quotations: Fat Jersey cows, £8 to £8 10s; light fat Jersey cows £6 17s 6d to £7 os; light fat Jersey heifers £5 15s to £6 2s 6d; killable cows £4 5s to £5 2s; heavy boners £3 5s to £3 17s 6d; lighter boner cows £2 to £3; empty 2-year Jersey heifers £4 to £4 4s; good quality Jersey springing heifers £8 15s to £9 ss; others £7 to £8 7s 6d; best Jersey springing cows £9 to £10; buttermilk pigs. £213 s to £2 17s; heavy porkers £2 9s to £2 14s; medium £2 Is to £2 7s; lighter 34 s to 395; large stores 32s to 375; medium 27s to 30s; slips 22s to 255; good weaners 18s to 23s 6d; other weaners 11s to 16s 6d.
