Bishop of Waikato.— The Bishop of Waikato, the Rt. Rev. C. A. Cherrington, will sail for England by the lonic on February 15. He will preach and speak there on behalf of six parishes in the diocese which are burdened by heavy debts (states “The Church Chronicle”). The sum necessary to wipe them out is £5OOO, and the bishop hopes while in England to supplement the efforts which these parishes have been making for several years to get free of debt. He expects to be away about a year.
