Sydney Wool Sales and Japan.— The wool sales in Sydney during the month have been giving satisfection to the sellers by reason of the wide distribution and strong competition. Orders were plentiful and buyers eager. Japanese competition was strong, that country's buying being the most consistent factor in the sale of topmaking wools. Yorkshire, Germany, France and Belgium were all prominent in • the bidding, and Italy also supplied appreciable stimulus.
