Cow Population. — The estimate.l total number of cows in the Dominion at January 31. of this year was 1,980,000, states the annual report of the New Zealand Dairy Board. Of this total 275,000 cows were tested. The previous season there were .1,932,511 cows of which 297,647, or 15.4 per cent were tested.
