CHURCH BAZAAR.

EVENING AT NGATEA. A successful bazaar was held at Ngatca on Wednesday afternoon and evening by the ladies of the Anglican Church Guild, and the proceeds will be donated towards the Church Building Fund. bazaar consisted of a number of stalls in charge of the following ladies: — Sweets: Mrs Cotter and Mrs Williams; cake and produce. Mesdatnes Wheeler, Constantine, Vowles, and Waite; drapery, Mrs Darlington and Mrs 11. Williams. Competitions were in charge of the following willing helpers:—Nail driving Mr P. Browne; darts, Mr -N. Burke; quoits, Mr M. Williams. Winners of various competitions were as follows:—Darts, Mr AV. Williams; nail driving. Mr N. Burke; ladies’ nail driving, Mrs Johanson; quoits, Mr Batclifl’e. Guessing competitions were won as follows:—Cake, Mrs Montgomerie; embroidered nightgown, Mrs O’Neil; '•ushion, Mrs H. Dalgety. Afternoon tea was served by Mesdames King. Shaw and Foster. In the evening the bazaar was carried on until about 9 o’clock, attractions being a hoop la in charge of Mrs Birkenhead and bran tubs in charge of Mrs Mahoney and Mrs Sparrow. Later in the evening the floor* was cleared and - the evening concluded with an enjoyable dance.
