« HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Limited, report: “At the weekly stock sale in the Frankton yards on Tuesday, 24th inst.. we had a medium yarding of ox and cow beef, the quality generally being better than recent yardings, ” ith a result that values firmed a little on late quotations. A good yarding of sheep also met with a slightly increased demand. There was an extra heavy yarding of all classes, prices for baconers showing a decline of about 5s nor head, while porkers eased to the extent of from 2s to 3s per head on last week’s quotations. “Stores and weaners were in keen demand and sold at equal to, if not better, than late rates. “Quotations: — “Sheep: Primo fat ewes, 8s 6d to 9s 3d; medium, 7s 3d to 8s; lighter. 6s to 6s 6d; fat wethers, 12s 5d to 13s Id; lighter, 10s lOd to Us 4d: prime fat hoggets, 12s 6d to 13s 7d; lighter, 10s 9d to Us 3d; store wethers, to 8s sd. “Cattle: Prime heavy fat steers, to £9 18s; medium fat steers, £7 18s to £8 Is; light fat cows. £3 10s to £3 16s; light fat heifers, £3 6s to £3 14s: killablc cows, £2 7s 6/1 to £2 16s; vcalcrs, 27s to 325. “Pigs: Heavy baconers. 35s to 38s; light, 32s to 345: heavy porkers. 29s to 31s; light. 24 s to 28s; stores. 21s to 25s 6d; slips. 18s to 21s; weaners, 10s to 15s: choppers. 20s to 28s; sows in pig, 35s to 375.
