PAEROA STOCK SALE. The Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., had a large entry of cattle, at its fortnightly sale at the Paeroa yards on Monday, and prices generally showed an advance on those of the previous sale, particularly in regard to store cattle. Springers were not in demand and prices were lower, but beef met with keen competition, the large yarding selling at from £4 to £5 12s 6d for the I>est, and from £3 upward for others. *"' ,w Good store cows met with a keen demand at improved prices, ranging from 35s to £3. Boners wore quitted at from f>s to 255. Bulls brought up to £3 *3s, according to weight and quality. . • There was a fairly keen demand for two-year-old empty heifers, prices ranging from £2 to £3 3s, and from 21s to £1 15s for smaller sorts. Wenner pigs brought from 12s 6d, and slips sold at 17s.
