THE TALKIES.
TURUA HALL. JOURNEY’S END. ’ "Journey’s End,” the famous Brit- ! ish picture, will be screened at the Turua Hall on Saturday night. In acting, photography, and reproduction "Journey’s End”* measures up to the highest standards yet set by talking pictures. With very few exceptions, the dialogue and the action follow the stage show. All the members of the London stage cast went to Hollywood for. the making of the pic- ■ tore. Most of the comedy which relieves many tense- situations is provided by an Australian, Billy Bevan, cast as the Cockney officer, whose only worries seem to'be the lack of pepper in the soup and the fate of his ’ollyocks.
