A gang of men is at present employed on Wilson’s Road, Netherton, '< vering the permanently sealed surface with a layer of red metal. Councillors agreed that it was a step in the right direction.

The engine was in a very bad condition. It appeared that '.he sump had run dry, a connecting rod had broken and had been pushed through the side of the crank ease, tearing a ragged and irreparable hole.
