REMEDY FOR SCOURS.

Faulty feeding, dirty utensils and sour food are common causes of scours, and they (must be guarded against. If a calf becomes affected with scours its food should be reduced to one half, and barley water should be given. This is prepared by adding throe quarts of barley to three gallons of boiling water and boiling until it is \vell mixed. For medicine, mix a tabespoonful of formalin in three cups of water and give a teaspoonful of the mixture in each pint of the liquid food for two days.
