OBITUARY.

;o; - MRS. C. E. CAMPBELL. The death occurred at Auckland on Monday of Mrs Caroline Elgar Campbell, an old-time resident of Thames, and the widow of the late Angus Cameron Campbell. The late Mrs Campbell was born in Kent, and arrived at Lyttleton with her parents 82 years ago. Mr Campbell, who was well known in Thames and Waihi, died a good many years ago. A notable fact is that no other death has occurred in the succession of children, grandchildren, or greatgrandchildren. The sons are; Mr IL A. Campbell. Birkenhead; Mr Angus Camphell. Parnell; and Mr A. 1). C.impbell, Grey Lynn; the daughters are Mrs E. V. Slyfield. Paeroa; Mrs Fred Baker, Ellerslie; and Misses C. and J. Campbell, Westmere. Thirteen grandchildren and five great-grand-children also remain to mourn the loss resulting from Mrs Campbell's demise.
