MILLS CUP MATCH. HIKUTAIA BEATS WAIHI. The only Thames Valley Tennis Association match played on Saturday last was the Mills Cup competition game, Hikutaia v. Waihi, at Waihi. Hikutaia won by 7 sets (80 games), to 6 sets (88 games), the scores being as follows (Hikutaia names first): — Men’s Singles: F. Homer beat Rev. Williams, 9—B; A. Alley lost to S. Rowe, 6—9; W. Veddar beat E. Rowe, 9—B; C. Prendiville beat W. Smeaton, 9—5. Ladies’ Singles: J. Alley beat Mrs Williams, 7—l; N. Turner lost to Miss Robinson, 3—7. Men’s Doubles: Homer and Veddar lost to Williams and Rowe, 2—9; Alley and Prendiville beat Rowe and Smeaton, 9 —B; Morrison and C. Prendiville lost to Campamagian and Barron, 6—9. Ladies’ Doubles: J. Alley and N. Turner beat Mrs Williams and Miss Robinson, 7—4; E. Gubb and F. Johnson lost to Mrs Coutts and Miss Delaney, 3—7. Combined Doubles: Morrison and Miss Johnson lost to Barron and Miss Delaney, 3—7; Prendiville and Miss E. Gubb beat Campamagian and Mrs Coutts, 7 —6.
