FREIGHT BY RAIL.
SPECIALISATION IN SAFETY. In all operations the railway freight service is practically a specialisation in safety. Modern equipment, efficiently used, in loading or unloading, packing or storing of fragile goods have virtually banished the breakage bogey. Perishable goods have a quick run in special waggons. Pianos and furniture are sheltered in box waggons which' are a safeguard against “sweating” and other dampness. Meat and dairy produce are carried in insulated waggons which prevent deterioration. Whatever may be the goods hard or soft, light or hqavy, the Railway Department will give them the right treatment, all the way.
