MISSION WEEK.

MEETINGS AT NGATEA. SUCCESSFUL CONCLUSION. On Monday last, in the Ngatea Methodist Church, a short thanksgiv- 1 ing service fittingly completed a week of Mission gatherings. The' Mission, interdenominational, was conducted by Mr Peter Dorrian, formerly Methodist Minister of Hauraki Plains, assisted by Mr A. Everil Orr as song leader. Both these gentlemen are students of Trinity College, and mission work, voluntarily undertaken, constitutes part of their regular training. The services commenced oh Monday, August 17th, and were conducted each evening with a Special children’s service on Saturday afternoon, and a women’s service on Wednesday afternoon. The services consisted of fifteen minutes singing, followed by a special sermon. Mr Orr conducted the singing, each evening rendering several solos, and Mr Dorrian was the • speaker on each occasion. Good average congregations attended each service, about 400 people attending during the week. Ngatea was chosen for the Mission as it was, most central, and people from all parts of the Plains attended regularly. Fine weather prevailed ''over the whole week, and on Sunday evening;.Mi - Dorrian, reviewing the success pf the Mission, stated that everything had been in favour of a good week, and that he was very pleased with the results obtained. ’ ■ On Tuesday evening Mr Orr left for Te Aroha, and Mr.. Dorrian went to Patetonga to conduct a young people’s rally.
