A.A.A. SERVICE. INSTRUCTION FOR MEMBERS. Recognising that although many motorists may have been driving for years, they may not be fully conversant With those points which go to make motoring a pleasure to themselves and to other users of the road, the Auckland Automobile Association has decided that its members may re-' ceive a jiost-license driving course free of charge from its road patrol 'officers. As advertised in this issue, the service (is now available in this district on application being . made to the A.A.A. agent or the patrol officer. Full details of the four lessons which are available are as follows: — z Lesson No. I.—Correct driving position; silent gear changing; double de-clutching; stopping and starting on hills and changing gear when descending; reversing; driving into narrow gateways and garages; wheel and tyre changing. Lesson No. 2.—Driving in traffic; parking; signalling; traffic regulations; rules of the road; safety principles. ' | Lesson No, 3.—General explanation !of the operating principles of ears, such as the ignition and fuel systems, carburetion, cooling and lubrication in each particular case. Lesson No. 4.—General care and mair.tonance of the car, such as battery preservation, chassis and engine lubrication, testing and cleaning , and general instruction in the methods by which the best results may be obtained in each particular case. ,
