DAIRY PAYOUTS.

New Zealand Farmers’ Union Co. The annual report of the New Zealand Farmers’ Dairy Union states that the company’s records show an increase of 31 tons of butter, the total amount manufactured during the year amounting to 659 tons 9 cwt. The company’s advances for the year have averaged 11.49 d, and in addition the directors have decided to make a final payment of Id a pound on butter-fat supplied from July 1; 1930, to June 30, 1931, and a dividend of 23 ,per cent, on paid-up capital. j Tiakatahuna: According to 'the annual report of the Tiakatahuna Dairy Company, 167 tons 8 cwt. was manufactured during the year just ended. The directors recommend a further payment of Igd on .butterfat used for cheesemaking, and which will make an average payout for the season lid.

Whangaroa. The Whangaroa Dairy Company made 374 tons of butter, which was graded 93.043. The total average, payment was 11.37 d per lb.' Katikati. The Katikati Dairy Company made 537 tons of butter,-the average grade being 93.12, and the average payout 11.76 d, including bonus, but not including cream carting and dividend. Waipu. The Waipu Dairy Company made 378 tons'of butter, the average grade being 93.38, and the final payout, inclusive of cartage and share dividend '11.843d per lb for all grades. Manakau.

The> Manakau Dairy Company, Levin,-/will 'pay out an average of 12.75 d for butter and 10d for cheese, and a 6 per cent, dividend on shares.’ . Moa.. The Moa'Dairy Company, Taranaki, made 1,064 tons of butter, and the payment will be 12.4 d per lb. . ! . Tarata. The T ara ta Dairy Company, Taranaki, made 109 tons of butter, and the payment will be 11 2-5 d per lb of butterfat. I Normanby. The Normanby Co-operative Dairy Factory Company (cheese) in its 37th year paid its suppliers to the end of June 10.4 d, and it was'estimated that the season’s average distribution would be brought to 11 l-3d. AwahuriThe directors of the Awahuri Dairy Company ,in their annual report state that from a productive point of viewthe result was good. Seventy-eight more tons of butter was manufactured this season than last.

' The average advance paid for all grades of cream was 10.76 d per lb butterfat,, while a further payment of 1.84 d will , be made, making a total average payment of 12.6 d, Reliance Co. The report of the Manawatu Reliance Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, stated that the output for the year ended June 30th,' 1931, was 235 tons of cheese. The average "price paid for butterfat was 9.84 d per pound, while the directors had decided on a further payment of a bonus of 3d per pound.

An increase of nearly 50 per cent, in the quantity of beef and veal exported from New Zealand to the London market for the first halves of the years 1930 and 1931 is shown in a report from the Meat producers’ Board, the tonnage being 955 in 1930 and 1,387 in 1931. The total beef and veal consumed in London in the first six months of 1931 was 123,458 tons, bf which 99,509 tons came from South America and 18,972 tons was home grown.
