In order to get to the bottom of the number of complaints received about the New Zealand cheese that was being put on the English market, the Whenukura Dairy Factory Company asked for a crate of cheese to be returned to New Zealand. During the last week in July this came to hand—a crate made on November. 5. 1930, and passed at 93 per cent, by the Government grader at Patea.’ The cheese was cut up and handed to the directors of the dairy company, and each of these announced that the cheese was improved in flavour, if anything.
