A private company has been formed to conduct extensive research into the products to be obtained from New Zealand flax. Engineers’ waste, pudding paper, packing and bleached softened fibre for twine are among the principal products to be considered. This is a pilot venture in the hands of technical experts,-and if the results show commercial possibilities a large public company is to be floated. Later, several world patents will be utilised.
