SATURDAY, JULY 9, 1927. “Kid Boots,” screening at Turua on Saturday Is a screen adaptation of the stage play of the same name. Larry Gray has, in haste married a chorus girl. He is getting a divorce and waiting for the final decree when he inherits a fortune. His ex-wife trys to break the divorce by being found in the same house., and through the intervention of Cantor this is frustrated. Going to a golf club as instructor and caddie, they meet two charming girls, and the mix-up that follows is exceptionally funny. TUESDAY, JULY 12, 1927. “We are in the Navy now,” showing on Tuesday next shows Wallace Beery and Raymond Hatton in their funniest of pictures. Imagine Beery and Hatton adrift in an open rowboat, with mines and submarines lurking on all sides. RAILWAY BALL. GAIETY THEATRE, MONDAY. The grand ball, which is being organised by the N.Z. Railways staff, and is to Ire held at the Gaiety Theatre, Paeroa, on Monday night, promises to be something out of the ordinary. A strong committee has arrangements well forward, and nothing is being left to chance that will provide for or add to the comfort and enjoyment of patrons. Real top-notch orchestral music has been engaged, the, floor is guaranteed to be in firstclass condition, and the supper—well, it will be something out of the ordinary.
