HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company reports:— At the weekly stock sale in the Frankton yards on Tuesday last we had a fair entry of fat cows and heifers and values, were unchanged. A good entry of fat and store sheep was submitted. There was a keen demand for fats at further advanced rates, and stores also showed an improvement. An average yarding of fat and store pigs was, offered and prices for fats were not up to the standard of the previous week, while stores sold at late rates.
Beef : Good quality prime heavy fat cows and heifers £7 10s to £7 17s, lighter choice and, prime young cows and heifers £6 19s to £7 3s', prime, medium weights £6 5s to £6 10s, young and light good quality heifers' £4 10s to £5 4S, plain fat cows £4 to £4 17s, yearling Jersey and cross heifers £3 3s, Jersey and cross heifers, in calf £7 15s to £8 15s, small and backward £3 15s to £6.
Sheep.—Extra heavy prime .fat wethers sold to 33s 3d, lighter 30s to 30s 4d ; medium quality fat ewes 20S 9d to 21s 'sd, lighter plain 17s 3d; prime fat hoggets 245, fair fat hoggets 20s, mixed sex w.f. woolly hoggets in good order 19s Id, b.f. hoggets in forward condition 17s Bd, small 13s 9d ; store to forward 4 and 6 tooth wethers 24s 6d, small 18s 9d ; ewes in lamb to b.f. rams 21s.
Pigs : Heavy baconers £3 7s ; light baconers and good porkers £3 to £3 5s ; medium porkers £2 16s to £2 18s, light £2 2s to £2 8s ; large stores 38s to £2 Is ; slips to small porkers 31« to 345, other slips £1 to £1 5s ,
