The tender of the Scottish engineering firm of Sir William Arrol and Co. has been accetped by the Government for the erection of the new railway workshops at Petohe. The contract price is not divulged, but it is understood that it is. between £lBO,OOO and £200,000. All British materials) are to be used in the execution of the work.
