STAR OF PAEROA LODGE.
HALF-YEARLY INSTALLATION.
The;re was a, large attendance of local members and visiting brethren from Wajhi, Thames, and Te Aroha lodges at the lodge room, Paeroa, on ■Saturday night, the occasion being the half-yearly installation of officers of the Star of Paeroa Lodge, U.A.O.D. The ceremony was performed by the District President, Bro. W. Turner, No. 10 district, while Past District President Bro. Lloyd (Thames) acted as M.C.
The following officers were duly installed for the ensuing term : A. D., Bro. Gallagher ; V.A.D., Bro, Cranch ; treasurer, Bro. F. E. Flatt; minute; secretary, Bro,, p. Angle; 1.G., Bro, Shaw ; O. G., Bro. E. V. Slyfield; A.D.8., Bros. Best and Liggins ; V.A.D.B, Bros, Davies and Taylor. At the conclusion of the installation the dstrict president gave a helpful and interesting address on lodge ritual and work. On behalf of the members Bro. Lloyd presented Bro. Turner with a past secretary’s collar, and in doing so congratulated him on the splejidid work that he had accomplished on behalf of Druidism in Paeroa and the district. After the disposal of the formal business of the lodge a pleasant hour was spent in song ,and story, and tiie customary toasts were enthusiastically honoured.
