Soon after Ellaby scored under the bar. Sullivan added the extras. Colours were forced by a long white rush. Then England was forced after a good rush by Smith and Knight. Pollard ran m soon after, a goal being kicked. Shortly afterwards Atkinson gained possession from midfield and ran through to score under the bar, Sullivan goaling. South Auckland then worked play to England's line, but England started another dribbling rush and carried play to the other end for Pollard to score. Sullivan converted. South Auckland came away and Timms scored an unconverted try. England scored again as the bell rang, and Sullivan easily converted. The game ended with the score England 64, South Auckland 11, Mr H.
