CROQUET.
TAUPIRI CLUB. At the official opening- of the Taupiri Croquet Club’s season there was a large attendance of members and visitors from the Huntly, Frankton, Ngaruawahia, Hamilton and Frankton Railway Clubs. The visitors were welcomed and the lawns declared open by Mr. G. Horwcod, president of the Bowling Club, and Mrs Horwood played the first ball. The competitions resulted:—Ball peg, Miss V. Wilson (Taupiri); sigsag, Mrs. Green (Huntly); progressive A, Mrs Connell (Frankton Railway), progressive B, Mrs Reese (Frankton Railway); target, Mrs Todd (Ngaruawahia).
