A newspaper man in his time i called upon to play many parts but a Napier scribe got somethin! of a shock when while strollinf down the street the other daj (saxs the Napier Telegraph), h< was accosted by a perfect stran ger who demanded that he act as a witness at his wedding. The pressman demurred at first, but eventually acceded, and followed the bridegroom-to be into the registry offic°, where he wbnessed the bri.f nuptial ceremony.
