A rather serious accident happened at the Pukemiro Mine ‘ on Wednesday last. It appears t that Mr J. Allan, senr., was using a ladder which carried away, Mr Allan falling cn a large piece of coal and breaking two ribs. .The sufferer was brought in from Pukemiro by Dr. Cairns to his I residence in Huntly. On inquiry > he is doing as well as can be ■ expected.
