Correspondence
WHILE it is our endeavour togive' correspondents every facility forthe free expression of their opinion, it should be borne in mind thatthe views expressed do not necessarily, reflect the opinions of the Editor. [TO THE EDITOR.] Sir, —Just allow me a wee spaca to reply to my dopey friend, “Status.” Why I say “dopey” is that he must have been so on the occasion he viewed the picture I screened last week, namely “The Passionate Friends." There was absolutely nothing to warrant him making such a statement, and I guarantee that 90% of the people who saw the picture last week will support me in my view. Anyway, “Status” come out in the open and don’t slink behind a nom de plume. I might consider giving you a complimentary ticket for Nazimova’s picture “Stronger than Death” on Saturday, but it might happen as before, you would not have sufficient brains to understand a good picture when you see it.
