MINERS’ HALL—'TO-NIGHT An exceptionally good variety programme consisting of eight specially chosen subjects will be shown by Mr Calder this evening The star feature by the Kalem Co is entitlea “ The prison Stain” the principle parts being taken by Martin Sais and William West This is a very fine domestic drama and concerns the reformation of a woman. Seven other interesting films will also be shown, made up of scenics, war, topical, dramatic, comedy and and cartoon comedy subjects all of which will appeal to those who like a little of everything. A special comedy will also be shown, featuring Keystone Fatty and Mabel, which is guaranteed to make anyone laugh. Patrons are cordially invited to attend. On Saturday, Miss Mary Peckford. tho world’s sweetheart will be featured in that romantic comedy drama entitled “ Mistress Nell,” produced with lavish splendour by the famons Players Company under Daniel Frohman. Mary Pickford takes the part of Nell Gwynne the beautiful impulsive actress of the days of King Charles the 2nd. Her acting is said to be truly excellent in Mistress Nell, and Owen More as Charles 2nd gives very able support, the combination giving fine scope for intense drama as well as exquisite comedy. A high standard supporting programme will also be shown consisting of the Gaumont Graphic, the Traitor, (drama), John Bull’s Sketch Book (cartoons), and Fatty’s Tintype Tangle (a popular 2000 ft Key- ’ stone).
