SWIM CARNIVAL
Arrangements have been completed ,ior the Swimming Carnival at Hokitika . Municipal Baths : on Thursday evening. The following officials have •been appointed lor the carnival : Judges: R. Cooper and C. L. Harper; starter: ' Air A. 11. Lawn; ticket-selling, officer; Air W. StopI’orth; call stewards : Rev. Dr Harrison, F. Freitas and E. lleenan; result steward: Air F. D. Gillespie; .charge steward : Mr AL. Houston, jar.; postponement committee: Messrs F. Freitas, Ai, Houston, W\ StOpfbrth, A. Lawn and E. AY. Heenan. The carnival is to commence at 7.30 sharp. A special committee was set up to give attention to the competitors, many of whom would be coining in from the country districts. Mr Lawn undertook to complete arrangements with the Municipal Band for the musical programme.
