The course was iu excellent order. The totalisator turnover for the day was £33,180 as against £33,233 10 for the corresponding meeting last 'year. An inquiry was held to ’determine the validity of the entry of Franz Derby in the Spifire Handicap. The judicial committeee fined G. A. Farland, owner of Franz Derby, £2 for a breach of the- rules.
