ATTACKS ON ENEMY

A convoy of twelve barges and three escort vessels were intercepted and bombed'off Zeebrugge. An attack* was also made on three self-propelled barges, patrolling off Ostend harbour, which hove to and opened fire on sighting the R.A.F. aircraft. • • Haamst-ede, on the Dutch Island ol Schotiven, was raided early in the after_ noon, and bombs were dropped on the aerodrome. 'On High level attacks on German barge concentrations, outside, as well as‘inside, invasion ports were also harrassed 1 during a'• series 6f light raids yesterday. A considerable convoy of enemy shipping off Calais was attacked, and a stick of bombs wpim dropped across tlie convoy -fibln starboard to port. Another raider bombed barges tied up in twos and threes inside Zeebru-gge harbour, and Zeebugge itself was attacked, and it is believed a 'bomb struck a light railway running along the Thole.
