RHODES SCHOLARS
WELLINGTON, Sep. 17. Victoria University College nominations for the Rhodes Scholarships were decided by the-Professorial Board’ today. They are; Norman Andrew Alorrison, at present a- pilot-officer engaged in instructional duties at, W.igram, and Ronald John Corkill, a member oi the. stall’ of the Correspondence School at Wellington. Morrison, 24, is L.-L.8., and is sitting for L.L.AI. this year. Cork hi 11 is 24, TLA. Dip. Education, and • kittinig. for Honours in English this year. Whether New. Zealand scholars will go to Oxford next year is still uncertain.. The Rhod.es Trustees have authorised the selection of 1941 schoL ars, Imt have reserved the right not to take them to Oxford, if the circumstances do not warrant it.
