DEATH OF A MAN. (Australian Press Association). SYDNEY, September 14. One of the fiercest brawls, ending in the death of one man, and the serious injury of two others, occurred last night, in the underworld area of Darlinghurst. The fight occurred in a wine saloon, when one man called another a ‘‘Him.’' The combatants continued to fight out? side on the pavement, and someone either threw a dagger or sheath-knife, and inflicted terrible injuries to the throat of Allan Ferguson, 36, mechanic, who died almost immediately. His companion, Loo Costello, 40, salesman, was severely- gashed in the ..mouth, the side of the head, and parts of the body. His condition is critical. A third man, William Irwin, 39, suffered extensive cuts to the face. His coat was ripped to ribbons. The police later detained a man. Hundreds of people witnessed the affair. ,-
