WESTLAND RUGBY SUB-UNION. Mr, A. H. T mwn presided at the meeting of the Westland Rugby Sub-Union last evening, the following members being present: Messrs A. Stevenson, C. L. Harper. Rev. Dr. Harrison, G. Shaw, M. Davidson, S. Havill, J. Coulson, F. McGregor, J. Richards, and E. W. Llcenan.

Apologies were received from S. Moore and J. Taylor. In view of the Buller-West Coast game being played at Greymouth on Saturday, it was agreed that no local fixtures be played. Tho Ross and Kiwi B teams did not fulfil their fixtures on Saturday, and both tennis are to be asked to forward an explanation to the Union. The financial statement was submitted and disclosed that the Rugby Union had not received sufficient monies to moot, the expenditure incurred. The chairman said that as the Union had lio major financial obligations to meet, the position was to lie considered satisfactory. The secretary was empowered to arrange for the Westland Third Grade team to play a curtain raiser with the G.re.vinoutli team, at Greymouth. on Saturday, provided that suitable arrangements could be made. The team would have to leave Hokitika in time to take tho field at 1.30 sharp. Air Harper undertook to notify the secretary by five o’clock on Tuesday il suitable arrangements could he math l .
